Jim Hasling resides in Blaine with his wife Barb. Jim is a proud father of two children and a loving grandfather to five grandchildren. Jim spent his childhood in St. Paul and then Shoreview.
Jim Hasling is an Alumni of St. Odilla’s Catholic Elementary School and Totino Grace High School.

Jim started Hasling Insurance Agency in 1987 to serve clients with an unexpected, exceptional level of care and attention to details. Today, Jim Hasling still serves some of those original business clients with their small group health insurance benefits.

Jim Hasling now helps clients select the best Medicare supplement, prescription drug plan, dental insurance, and individual medical insurance plan for those under age 65. Jim spends time with every client, educating them about their options. Researching the medications and treatments his clients have and then identifying the most beneficial insurance program is a daily occurrence for Jim. Jim operates by the motto of educating every client to the point they buy exactly what they want, and he never needs to sell anything.

Jim’s generosity throughout the community has been experienced by many people and recognized by several organizations. Jim was awarded the “Good Neighbor Award” by WCCO after the 1991 Halloween Blizzard. Jim Hasling was inducted in the Totino Grace Alumni Hall of Fame in 1995. Jim’s volunteering at his childrens’ elementary school in Spring Lake Park, and his numerous contributions of time and money to helping pass learning levies was recognized by school administrators. Jim and Barb are Lifetime Members of the Spring Lake Park Panther Foundation. Jim and Barb are annual President’s Circle Members of the Mercy Hospital Foundation. When Jim is not working and returning phone calls you will either catch him at a grandchild’s sporting event or driving a friend to the airport.

Jim Hasling continues to serve each and every client with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion to meet their insurance needs. Aligning with Insurance Brokers of Minnesota in 2022 provides a succession plan for Jim, and a successful path forward for the clients who trust Jim as their insurance agent. Jim plans to attend even more of his grandchildren’s sporting events and spend more time with Barb at their lake place on Deer Lake in St. Croix Falls, WI.
